Due to a schedule conflict, Master Thompson will not be available to analyze games on May 1.
REMINDER TO SEND YOUR GAMES TO THE ANDREJ GAMES AND TCCLE2021 FOR ANALYSIS
Hello Rochester Chess Club members. Chess Masters Jovana Milosevic and Master Thompson will be holding the following free events.
Earlier this year RCC was challenged by the Kent Chess Club to a friendly match won by Kent 12.5-11.5. On Saturday April 24, 12:00 to 1:30 pm Jovana Milosevic analyzed selected games from the match for both clubs. Jovana will analyze additional games on May 8. We will try to make this an annual event that I have dubbed “The Andrej Games”.
This spring also marks the return of the Twin City Chess League. Rochester has two teams. Master Thompson will coach us by analyzing games that are played during this online season of TCCL. Master Thompson’s first session will be on Saturday, May 1, from 12:00 to 1:30 pm.
Paul Kinion will continue to collect games for both events. If you played against Kent and would like Jovana Milosevic to consider your game, please email the pgn file to Paul at PaulKinion@gmail.com. If you are playing in the TCCL and would like Master Thompson to consider your game, please email the pgn file to Paul. I will send out the links to the Zoom meetings.
Economic conditions have been tough on many of us recently. RCC is happy to make both events free for our members and the Andrej game analysis will also be free for the members of the Kent Chess Club. We will give Zoom attendees an opportunity to donate anywhere from $0 to $20 to RCC if they would like to show their support for these events.
Our website RochesterChess.com has a small glitch. It will only allow you to pay for your membership or donate through the “Donate” pull down menu.
