He is the ONLY American born International chess champion in Minnesota.
He is the ONLY Minnesota Chess Master who was a licensed professional school teacher


He is one of the original teachers of the famous ‘Chess in the Schools’ Program
Created and Started Chess in Educational Institutions in Michigan

Original Life Master (You must maintain a 2200 plus rating for 300 straight games without dropping below 2200.) He is the only person in Rochester.
