Join Rochester Chess at the Farmers Market, June 15, 9 AM – Noon

Rochester Chess will have an exhibit at the Farmers’ Market on Saturday, June 15, 9 AM – Noon. This is an opportunity to help spread your love of chess. Visitors range from serious players to individuals who are interested in learning more about the game. It is a lot of fun and you can take time out to pick up some locally grown vegetables.  🙂  We will be at the back of the market on the grass near the river and under an enormous cotton wood tree. Stop by anytime! I hope to see you there.

June Slow Tournament Begins on Tuesday, June 4 at RCTC in Room EA 103

Rochester Chess will be hosting a 4-round USCF-rated tournament, formerly known as Jovana’s June 2019 Slow Chess Tournament (G/60 + 30 second increment) beginning on June 4.

Play one game per night on June 4, 11, 18, and 25. Up to 2 half-point byes may be requested in rounds 1-3.  A zero-point bye is available for round 4.  We plan to divide the field in two sections based on rating. Games begin at 6:30 sharp.

Registration: Free for current club members who register online by June 3 (strongly recommended to help us start on time) or $5 for all who register onsite (6:15 – 6:30 PM) and for nonmembers.
