The turnout was great for the first 2 rounds of the July Quick (N=14, with 3 who are participating in their first USCF tournament. Below are the current standings. The good news is if you would like to play in the last two rounds and compete for prizes, send me an email prior to midnight on Monday. You are eligible for two half-point byes, giving you 1 point going in to round 3.

2018 Rochester July Quick Chess Tournament, July 10 and 17, with cash prizes!
Rochester Chess will be hosting a 4-round USCF-rated Quick Tournament on July 10 and 17, 6:30 – 9 PM. Two games will be played each night. G/25; 4-second delay (quick rated only so no risk to your regular rating). Up to 2 half-point byes may be requested in rounds 1-3. A zero-point bye is available for round 4. USCF membership is required.
Registration: Free if you register online using link below (strongly recommended to help us start on time) or onsite from 6:15 – 6:30 PM. Onsite registration is $5.
Prizes (based on 12 participants): $50 first place; $30 second place; $15 third place; $10 under class prize.
Location: Mayo Clinic Harwick Cafeteria, 203 3rd avenue SW, Rochester.
