Note games in the double round robin quads can be played in any order. Rescheduled games must be played on September 12 or 19. All games start at 6:45 PM or earlier if opponents agree. It is not too late to join the swiss section. Just let me know before Tuesday, August 8.

Jersey Jo’s Philly Cheesesteaks: Come for the chess. Stay for the cheesesteaks. On Thursdays from 4-6 p.m., Jersey Jo’s Philly Cheesesteaks is hosting casual chess at its one-of-a-kind shop at 187 18th Ave SW (in the small strip mall across the Frontage Road from the McDonald’s on 2nd St. SW). Stop in for casual chess and have fun! LEARN AND PLAY CHESS AT THE FARMERS MARKET. FREE EVENT ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 5, 9 AM – NOON.

Rochester Chess will host a free chess exhibit at the Farmers Market on the Olmsted County fairgrounds (Rochester Farmers Markets) on Saturday, August 5, 9 AM – noon. Children and adults are invited to play chess games and receive instruction from our team of experienced chess coaches. Chess sets will be provided. The market is an opportunity to share your love of chess and to pick up some fresh vegetables. 😉

If you don’t know how to play chess? No problem, we will teach you! We will be in the large grassy area near the band. Stop by anytime!
