SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE CHESS INSTRUCTION AT THE FARMERS MARKET ON MAY 17, 9 AM – NOON.
Rochester Chess will host a free pop up chess exhibit at the Farmers Market https://www.facebook.com/rochfarmmkt/ on the fairgrounds on Saturday, May 17, 9 AM – noon. Children and adults are invited to play chess and receive chess instruction.
Volunteers are needed to help others in our community improve their play. Please let me know if you can stop by to help out.

RESULTS FOR THE APRIL USCF-RATED SLOW SWISS
Eighteen players participated in the April Slow Swiss in two sections. One game (G/60+30) per week was played at the club. Soren Wiedmann finished in first place with a perfect score of 3-0. He edged out Tim Schimke who finished in second place with 2.5 points. Michael Zhitnitsky and Cole Hintz tied for first place in the swiss-2 section with 2.5 points. Cole and Michael were playing in their first ever OTB tournament. Congratulations to the winners!
