TCCL Banquet Tomorrow, upcoming events
Tomorrow: TCCL Banquet with Pizza ordered in! We will celebrate last season and discuss the next season. Please bring your own beverage and $2 to help cover the pizza costs.
Reminder: RCC members should stay in the South Cafeteria of the Harwick building unless they are Mayo Clinic employees. Also we need to be respectful of the Mayo Clinic site and make sure not to get too rowdy while still having fun :-). Thanks for your understanding!

Note from John Thomson on a Minneapolis Chess Camp:
Attention All Chess Parents
There is one more session left in this summer’s Minnesota Chess Castle Camp (at 1121 Jackson St. NE, #134, Minneapolis) during the week from August 11th (Monday) through the 14th. This is our third session, in this, our second year.
The other two sessions were fantastic, and we have lots of spots left for this final one.
Each day has a variety of programs to challenge your student’s mind to meet and test their specific learning capacities. Students will have lots of time working one on one with National Masters Michael Yang and Kevin Bu. We believe your students can enhance their abilities over the summer instead of staying at home drooling over the TV and remote.
Monday- Thursday (9am-4pm) with Drop off (8:30am-9am)-Pickup
(4:00pm-5:00pm) If you need to drop off earlier please arrange prior with coordinator. Penalty Fees will be applied if you do not inform us earlier of early drop off and late pick up of child before 8:30am or after 5:00pm will incur ($30), We are more flexible if you inform us ahead of time.
If we continue to receive strong support from the community we can continue for a third year with similar dates to keep in mind.

Once again, Thanks for your time and cooperation, best regards,
Coordinator Tremayne Talbot, National Master Michael Yang, National Master Kevin Bu.
Quick overview of things we covered in the past and what we also will continue to do at our future camps:
Lectures including: Mating nets, Tactics, outposts strategies, Game analysis, book openings, middle/ endgames, provide excellent feedback and much more. There are just too many options what we provide for this unbeatable price. (chess players parents spend anywhere from $60-$80 an hour just to teach very basic stuff trained by GM’s) It really adds up.
Students tend to get one on one with each of us averaging between 6 hours of alone time throughout the week.
