Seventy-five percent of respondents to the club survey indicated they want USCF-rated slow tournaments. I will be directing the Rated Spring Slow Tournament, G/90; d5, 4-round Swiss event, March 13 – April 3. Up to two 1/2-point byes may be requested in advance except for round 4 when only a zero-point bye may be requested. A quicker side event may be organized depending on the level of interest. Entry fee:$5 for non-members, $2 for members. Cash prizes will be awarded based on the number of entries. Games will start at 7 PM.  If you plan on playing in this event, please notify me by email and indicate which, if any, rounds you will need a bye for. Also, you may register onsite from 6:30 – 6:45 PM prior to round 1.
