Jacob Davidson indicated his willingness to host club meetings and serve as a club officer. He was unanimously elected to be the Rochester Chess Vice President in charge of club operations. Congratulations Jacob!
Dennis Mays is pursuing options for an alternative site for the club meetings.
Christian Bartels agreed to be the scholastic liaison joining Grant Jones. Congratulations Christian and thanks!
Jovana Milosevic, Steve Lange, and Christian Bartels agreed to share webmaster duties. Jovana and Christian will assist with the technical aspects of the website and Steve will assist with content. We are asking all of the club members to help with content. It would be nice to add Bob Frisby’s historical notebook to the site. Nate Nordstrom, the CEO of Brandhoot, will be guiding us through the website update.
Jovana, Rob, and Grant Jones are helping with the nonprofit activities of Rochester Chess by coaching at elementary and middle schools. The program is funded by RPS and grants to Rochester Chess.
