Master/Expert 2000+ Class A 1800 – 1999 Class B 1600 – 1799

Class C 1400 – 1599 Class D 1200 – 1399 Class E 1000 – 1199

Class F 800 – 999 Class G 600 – 799 Class H – J   0 – 599  

Entry Fee: $ 60 by Oct. 11, $ 65 by Nov. 1, $ 70 Nov. 8, and $ 80 Nov. 10 or onsite

4 Round Swiss: USCF rated (membership required) ⌛️ Time Control: G/90 +30s

Two half point byes available

Schedule:   Saturday 11:00 and 4:00 Sunday 9:30 and 2:00

Prizes: First $ 175, Second $ 100 Prizes based on 10 players in each section.

Sections may be changed, combined, or separated if some sections are too small or too large; prizes will be kept proportional.

JOIN ROCHESTER CHESS FOR CASUAL, OUTDOOR CHESS ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7, 9 AM – NOON, AT THE FARMERS MARKET

Rochester Chess will host a free chess exhibit at the Farmers Market on the Olmsted County fairgrounds (Rochester Farmers Markets) on Saturday, October 7, 9 AM – noon. Children and adults are invited to play chess games and receive instruction from our team of experienced chess coaches. Chess sets will be provided. The market is an opportunity to share your love of chess and to pick up some fresh vegetables. 😉

If you don’t know how to play chess? No problem, we will teach you! We will be in the large grassy area near the band. Stop by anytime!

RESULTS OF THE SUMMER CLASSICAL QUADS PART II AND FALL CLASSICAL SWISSES.

The summer classical quads (g/60, d30, double round robin sections) part II have been rated by USCF: https://www.uschess.org/msa/XtblMain.php?202309194472-12562041. Congratulations to the winners who all received a warm hand shake from the TD: Matt Jensen, Michael Gilligan, and Jai Knuth each finished in first place at least 1.5 points above their nearest rivals in their respective sections.
