NOVEMBER SLOW SWISSES START TONIGHT, NOVEMBER 2
The November USCF-rated swisses will be 3 – 4 rounds. Rated games of G/60 + 30 will be played in person once per week on Tuesday evenings starting on November 2. Games begin at 6:30 PM. Alternative dates and times can be negotiated if both players agree and they inform me ahead of time. Players can late join and take a half-point bye in round 1. Registration fee: $5 payable at the site or online at the Rochester Chess homepage through the PayPal donate button. Registration is free for masters. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers: $50 first prize in the top swiss and $40, 30, 20 in the lower swiss. Site: Mayo Clinic Harwick Building, South Cafeteria, 201 3rd Avenue SW, Rochester, MN. Park for free on the street after 5 PM weekdays/all day on weekends or in a nearby parking ramp. Participants must be free of COVID symptoms and wear a mask. If you have not already done so, please get vaccinated for the safety of all.


ROCHESTER CHESS MASTERS
Rochester Chess Masters on Saturday, December 4. Three rounds at 9:30, 1, 4. G/60 + 30. USCF-rated. Free pizza lunch provided after round 1. Prizes: $400, $250, $150. Prizes are covered by a donation to Rochester Chess.
