Winter Slow results, lots of chess coming up!
The results of the 2020 Winter Slow Swiss have been posted. Congratulations to the winners Henry Lange and Isaac Sellon who both finished with 3.5 out of 4 points. Jesse Buss and Bob Frisby tied for 3rd place with 3 points each. http://www.uschess.org/msa/XtblMain.php?202001282632-16346927
The next club meeting on February 4 will feature casual chess and game analysis. Please bring in a game to share with the club members.
This month we will try something new. USCF-rated G/15; d5 in 6-player sections according to rating on February 18. Let me know if you want to join the tournament. The Rochester Amateur Championship for Youth and Adults will be on Saturday, February 22 at RCTC! Our (possibly permanent) new site for club meetings will be in the Mayo Clinic Support Center South Cafeteria, 3050 Superior Dr. NW, Rochester, MN 55901. Park in the employee lot. Enter the building through the south employee entrance. Press the red intercom button and tell Mayo security you are there for chess. Follow the signs to the south cafeteria. Allow extra time to find the playing site. Clocks will start at 6:30 PM. Call/text me at 507-254-6809 if you have questions.
