Reserve Your Place in the Rochester Mini-Chess Camp for Youth and Adults, August 26, 2023, 9 AM – Noon at Mayo Clinic Harwick Building Cafeteria
Lead instructors: Jacob Arroyo and Dennis Mays. This camp is intended for novice to intermediate players.
Approximate Camp Schedule
- 8:45 – 9:00 AM: Check in.
- 9 AM – 9:30: Tactics!
- 9:30 – 10:30: Intermediate participants will play one game (G/30 with notation). Coaches will help them analyze their games afterwards.
- Novice participants will play 2 games (G/15)
- 10:30 – 11:15: Deep analysis of games with a chess coach
- 11:15 – 12:00: Opening tactics.
Wrap-up
Tuition: $25 + $5 for each additional family member. Payable onsite with cash or check made payable to Rochester Chess. Advanced registration is required.

PAIRINGS FOR ROUND 4 IN THE SUMMER CLASSIC – II
The round 4 pairings for the summer classic are below. This will be the final round in the summer swiss section. Two players in the swiss were assigned half-point byes for rounds 1 – 3. Games start at 6:45 PM or earlier if opponents agree. Time control is G/60, d30. The Fall Swiss is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 29 at the club. I will ask the players on Tuesday in the current swiss to confirm if they want to play in the Fall Swiss.
Most of the quads will be beginning the second half of their double round robin competition according to the schedule below. Games start at 6:45 PM or earlier if opponents agree. Time control is G/60, d30.
