Round 4 Pairings for the March Slow. Round 4 Rescheduled to April 2 at RCTC
Due to Spring Break, the final round of the March Slow has been postponed until Tuesday, April 2 The pairings are below. As usual, the games begin at 6:30 PM in the RCTC cafeteria. Casual chess and game analysis will be featured on March 26. Bring your game scores to analyze.

Directions to the RCTC playing site: Park in the main lot on the East side of the main campus. Enter through the Hill Theater/East Hall entrance; it’s closest to the lot. Follow signs to restrooms and an elevator. Ride up to the third floor and it opens into the cafeteria. Thanks to Paul Kinion and the RCTC math department for sponsoring this event.
2018 Rochester July Quick Chess Tournament, July 10 and 17, with cash prizes!
Rochester Chess will be hosting a 4-round USCF-rated Quick Tournament on July 10 and 17, 6:30 – 9 PM. Two games will be played each night. G/25; 4-second delay (quick rated only so no risk to your regular rating). Up to 2 half-point byes may be requested in rounds 1-3. A zero-point bye is available for round 4. USCF membership is required.
Registration: Free if you register online using link below (strongly recommended to help us start on time) or onsite from 6:15 – 6:30 PM. Onsite registration is $5.
Prizes (based on 12 participants): $50 first place; $30 second place; $15 third place; $10 under class prize.

Upcoming events in Rochester Chess!
Rochester Chess will be hosting an unrated bughouse tournament on July 3, 6:30 – 9:00 PM in the Harwick. Yes, you heard me correctly. I am supporting bughouse at Rochester Chess for the loyal fans of the chess variant. But that is not all! Casual chess games of standard chess are encouraged. We will also be analyzing games from recent tournaments: the Rochester Open and the Twin Ports Open. Please bring your score sheets and share your thoughts on your games with the other club members.
