Upcoming events in Rochester Chess!

Rochester Chess will be hosting an unrated bughouse tournament on July 3, 6:30 – 9:00 PM in the Harwick. Yes, you heard me correctly. I am supporting bughouse at Rochester Chess for the loyal fans of the chess variant. But that is not all! Casual chess games of standard chess are encouraged. We will also be analyzing games from recent tournaments: the Rochester Open and the Twin Ports Open. Please bring your score sheets and share your thoughts on your games with the other club members.

Special Event on June 26 starting at 6:30 PM! National Master Matt Jensen’s “Odds Chess” Positions!

National Master Matt Jensen will be bringing “Odds Chess” positions for participants to play out at blitz time controls with an increment. This will be totally fun. For those who are interested, later we will analyze games from the Rochester Open which was held over the past weekend. Bring your score sheets. Of course as usual, you can play casual games of chess. The club meeting starts at 6:30 PM.
