ROCHESTER CHESS THIS WEEK, DECEMBER 12.
On Tuesday night the Rochester Chess Club will be holding a bughouse tournament! If you haven’t played bughouse before, it’s a blast. Bughouse is a four-player game played on two boards. Two vs. two. It’s a high-speed and social way to sharpen your chess tactics. You can read up on all the details of bughouse here: https://www.chess.com/terms/bughouse-chess
Matt Jensen will be directing a free bughouse event. Registration starts at 6:30 PM. We will have a brief introduction and Q&A around 6:50. Games start at 7:00. Each player will put their name on a slip of paper. We will randomly draw the teams for every board in each round of the bughouse event. Every time your team wins, you get a point. The player with the most points at the night’s end wins the event. No one gets eliminated, and you can join late or leave early.
We will also have a casual night for those not wishing to play bughouse.
