2025 SUMMER SLOW SWISS, JULY 29-AUGUST 12.
Rochester chess players are chomping at the bit to play more USCF-rated slow chess games. Therefore, we are of holding the 2025 Summer Slow Swiss (3 rounds), which will begin on Tuesday, July 29 at the chess club. One game per week for 3 weeks. Half-point byes are available for any round. Register online by noon on July 29 to be paired in the first round:
Entry is free and prizes will be awarded to the winners of each section.

Tuesday, July 15: Club meeting will feature game analysis with players presenting their favorite games. Analysis session begins at 7 PM. We will have casual chess and as always kids are welcome. Doors open at 6 PM.
Thursday, July 17, 1 – 3 PM: Free casual chess at Novios Cafe.
Friday, July 18, at 7 PM: Rochester Chess Festival begins with a simultaneous exhibition given by IMs John Bartholomew and Sean Nagle on Friday, July 18 at 7 PM at the Mayo Civic Center. July 19 and 20, Saturday and Sunday: Rochester Open and the Midwest Regional Championship for Women & Girls, which will be held on July 19 and 20 in the Mayo Civic Center. Register by July 18 to save $20: https://www.minnesotachess.com/rochester-open. Both tournaments are USCF-rated 5-round swiss events. Spectators are welcome.
