THE WEEK IN ROCHESTER CHESS
Chess club will open at 5 PM on Tuesday, July 18, for a class with Coach Grant. This class is free to participants in Coach Grant’s recent camp.
You are invited to bring one or more of your chess games from the 2023 Rochester Open to share with other club members. Last week we enjoyed analyzing the hard-fought games of Spencer, Charlie, and Grant.
IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO REGISTER FOR THE CHESS CAMP FOR INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED SCHOLASTIC PLAYERS AND ADULTS, JULY 15, 9 AM – 2 PM. THEME: Closed Positions – Using Space as a Weapon

LEARN AND PLAY CHESS AT THE FARMERS MARKET. FREE EVENT ON SATURDAY, JULY 1!
Rochester Chess will host a free chess exhibit at the Farmers Market on the fairgrounds (Rochester Farmers Markets) on Saturday, July 1, 9 AM – noon. Children and adults are invited to play chess games and receive instruction from our team of experienced chess coaches. Chess sets will be provided. The market is an opportunity to share your love of chess and to pick up some fresh vegetables. 😉
If you don’t know how to play chess? No problem, we will teach you! We will be in the large grassy area near the band. Stop by anytime! I hope to see you there.
