Rochester Mini-Chess Camp for Youth and Adults, December 9, 2023, 9 AM – Noon at Mayo Clinic Harwick Building Cafeteria
Warm up for the Holiday Scholastic Tournament by participating in a Mini-Chess Camp on December 9 for youth and adults. Experienced chess coach Jacob Arroyo will lead the camp which is intended for novice to intermediate players. Reserve Your Place in the Rochester Mini-Chess Camp for Youth and Adults, August 26, 2023, 9 AM – Noon at Mayo Clinic Harwick Building Cafeteria
Lead instructors: Jacob Arroyo and Dennis Mays. This camp is intended for novice to intermediate players.
Approximate Camp Schedule
- 8:45 – 9:00 AM: Check in.
- 9 AM – 9:30: Tactics!
- 9:30 – 10:30: Intermediate participants will play one game (G/30 with notation). Coaches will help them analyze their games afterwards.
- Novice participants will play 2 games (G/15)
- 10:30 – 11:15: Deep analysis of games with a chess coach
- 11:15 – 12:00: Opening tactics.
Wrap-up
Tuition: $25 + $5 for each additional family member. Payable onsite with cash or check made payable to Rochester Chess. Advanced registration is required.
