GAME ANALYSIS WITH MASTER MATT JENSEN ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 27.

Master Matt Jensen will moderate a game analysis session on Tuesday, July 27 starting at 7 PM at the club. Create a study of your most interesting game(s) using Lichess to facilitate the discussion.

The doors open at 6 PM for casual chess and blitz.

RESULTS OF THE SUMMER SLOW SWISS.

The Summer Slow Swiss (G/60 + 30s increment) was held in 2 sections from July 23 – August 13. Expert Justin Ricker finished in first place in the upper section by scoring 4 – 0. Calder Nguyen (freshman at Century) finished with 3 points, the highest score for a scholastic player in this section. Eli Goplen won the swiss 2 section with 3.5 points. Congratulations to the winners and other participants.

A game analysis session will be led by National Master Matt Jensen on Tuesday, August 27. Make a Lichess study of your favorite games to share with others.

CHESS THIS WEEK IN ROCHESTER, AUGUST 12 – AUGUST 18.

Coach Grant will be leading a free chess class for beginners on Tuesday, August 13, 5:30 – 7:00 PM at the Mayo Clinic Harwick Building. Others will be playing in the final round of the USCF-rated summer slow swiss. Games start at 6:30 PM unless other arrangements have been made.
