RESULTS OF THE APRIL SLOW SWISS
The Rochester 2026 April Slow Swiss was played over 3 consecutive weeks at the Mayo Clinic Harwick Building beginning on April 14. Twenty players competed in one of two sections. Piyush Mukherjee won the premier section with a perfect 3-0 score. Lucas Sanner finished in second place with 2 points. Ephraim Makelele Kabunda won the reserve section with a perfect 3-0 score. Tor Anderbeck was close behind in second place with 2.5 points. The tournament has been rated by USCF: https://ratings.uschess.org/event/202604280413
The winners Piyush Mukherjee and Ephraim Makelele Kabunda received a one-year extension to their membership to Rochester Chess ($40 value).

Tuesday, April 28: April USCF-Rated Slow Swiss Round 3. Games start at 6:30 pm. Half-point byes are available for schedule conflicts. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each section.
