FREE POP-UP CHESS AT THE FARMERS MARKET ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 10, 9 AM – NOON
Rochester Chess, an educational nonprofit, will host a free chess exhibit at the Farmers Market https://www.facebook.com/rochfarmmkt/ on the fairgrounds on Saturday, August 10, 9 AM – noon. Children and adults are invited to play chess and receive instruction from our team of experienced chess coaches. Chess sets will be provided. We will be in the grassy area near the music.
PAIRINGS FOR THE FINAL ROUND IN THE SLOW SWISS ON AUGUST 13.
The final round pairings for the slow swiss are enclosed. Games begin at 6:30 PM unless other arrangements have been made. Coach Grant’s free beginners class will be held from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. Casual chess for others will be featured.

Below are the pairings for round 3 in the summer slow swiss which will be held on Tuesday, August 6. Aaron Civil is paired against Matt Markland in an extra rated game. Aaron has the white pieces. All game start at 6:30 PM except for Wilson’s game which will start at 6:45 PM. Please renew your USCF membership if it expired in July 2024.
Free beginners class with Grant Jones is back from 5:30 – 7:00 PM.
