RESULTS OF THE 2022 SUMMER SWISS
Congratulations to Tim Schimke for winning first place in the summer swiss by a full point with a score of 4.5/5.0. Roy Knuth and Paull Kinion shared 2nd-3rd places with 3.5 points each. Tim generously donated his $50 first place prize back to the club. Thank you Tim! Roy and Paul split $35. ROCHESTER CHESS WILL BE MEETING ON JULY 26, 6 – 9 PM.
The final round of the Summer Swiss will be played with most games beginning at 6:30 PM. Tim Schimke is leading the field with 3.5/4 but other players are close enough to catch him.
Coach Grant will be leading a free chess class from 6 – 7 PM. Others are welcome to play casual chess.
REMINDER TO PRE-REGISTER FOR THE ROCHESTER MINI-CHESS CAMP FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS, SATURDAY, JULY 23, 2022, 9 AM – NOON AT MAYO CLINIC HARWICK BUILDING CAFETERIA
The camp will only be held if we have enough pre-registrants (minimum = 10).
