RESULTS OF THE SLOW SWISS WARM UP
Twenty-two players from Rochester and the surrounding area played in a slow swiss tournament to warm up for the Rochester Open. Young players dominated in the upper section which ended in a tie for first place between Calder Nguyen and Cole Lappi. Both are members of the Century High School Chess Team.
Steve Lange finished in first place in the swiss 2 section by winning his games in round 2 and 3 after taking a half-point bye in the first round.
The tournament has been rated by USCF: https://www.uschess.org/msa/XtblMain.php?202507080502-12349620
