SPRING 2022 SWISS HAS BEEN RATED AND OTHER NEWS

Rochester Chess will be meeting on May 31, 6:30 – 8:30 pm in the Mayo Clinic Harwick cafeteria. Casual chess will be featured. In addition, we will attempt to solve calculation exercises provided by WFM Jovana Milosevic.

The full $50 online discount will be available until June 11, after which the registration fee will increase incrementally. We are hoping that 100+ chess players will descend on Rochester to play in this landmark event. Please show your support of Rochester Chess by participating.

ROCHESTER CHESS WILL BE MEETING ON NOVEMBER 30.

Two rescheduled games from the November Slow Swiss will be played at the club on Tuesday, November 30. Casual chess and a chess puzzle solving contest also will be featured.

Spectators are welcome at the first ever Rochester Chess Masters Tournament. Details are below.

Free pizza lunch provided after Round 1.

Start times for rounds 2 and 3 may be moved up with the agreement of the players.

G/60 + 30 second increment per move

Park for free on the street or in a nearby parking ramp. Enter the first sliding door on the east side of the Harwick building. Press the red button to summon Mayo security. Tell them you are there for chess. They will unlock the second sliding door for you to enter. Take an immediate left turn and the cafeteria is straight ahead of you.

Entry: Free. National Masters or greater were given preference.
