LEARN AND PLAY CHESS AT THE FARMERS MARKET ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 9 AM – NOON.
Rochester Chess will host a free chess exhibit at the Farmers Market on the Olmsted County fairgrounds (Rochester Farmers Markets) on Saturday, September 2, 9 AM – noon. Children and adults are invited to play chess games and receive instruction from our team of experienced chess coaches. Chess sets will be provided. The market is an opportunity to share your love of chess and to pick up some fresh vegetables. 😉
If you don’t know how to play chess? No problem, we will teach you! We will be in the large grassy area near the band. Stop by anytime!

Congratulations to John Bitz for winning the Summer Classical Swiss with a perfect 4-0 score! George Paulik, Anthony Szarka, and Ethan Kaske tied for 2 – 4 places with scores of 3-1. The Fall 2023 Classical Swiss will begin August 29. One or more sections of 8 players players of similar rating will play 3 games. Time control will be G/60, d30.
