Tuesday, September 30:  Round 3 (final) of the 2025 Fall Rated Slow Swiss. Games start at 6:30 PM. Casual chess and kids are welcome. Doors open at 6 PM. The free chess class will resume in October.

The Minnesota Chess Class Championships return to Rochester, November 15-16! Compete with your peers! The Class Champs is a unique event that closely groups players by rating. Three playoff spots for the 2026 Closed State Championship Playoffs are on the line! The tournament will be held in the Mayo Clinic Harwick Cafeteria, 205 3rd Avenue SW, Rochester. In 2003, when the class championships were held in Rochester, over one-third of the participants were members of the Rochester Chess Club. We are hoping that local players will show their support of major chess tournaments in Rochester by participating in the event this year.
