ROUND 3 CLASSICAL SWISS AND POST-GAME ANALYSIS ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12.

The final round of the classical swisses will be played on Tuesday, September 12. Games begin at 6:30 PM. Master Matt Jensen will be available to analyze your games from round 3 and previous rounds (bring your score sheets). LEARN AND PLAY CHESS AT THE FARMERS MARKET ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 9 AM – NOON.

Rochester Chess will host a free chess exhibit at the Farmers Market on the Olmsted County fairgrounds (Rochester Farmers Markets) on Saturday, September 2, 9 AM – noon. Children and adults are invited to play chess games and receive instruction from our team of experienced chess coaches. Chess sets will be provided. The market is an opportunity to share your love of chess and to pick up some fresh vegetables. 😉

If you don’t know how to play chess? No problem, we will teach you! We will be in the large grassy area near the band. Stop by anytime!

Minnesota Class Championships Are Coming to Rochester on November 11-12, 2023!

For the first time ever, the Minnesota Class Championships will be played outside of the Twin Cities.

Rochester Chess is partnering with the Minnesota State Chess Association to host the event in the Mayo Civic Center, 30 Civic Center Dr SE, Rochester.

Compete with your peers and vie for the coveted title of Class Champion!

Winner of Master/Expert section qualifies for 2024 State Championship playoffs!

Winner of Class A qualifies for 2024 State U2000 playoffs!

4 Round Swiss: USCF rated (membership req.)

⌛️ Time Control: G/90 +30s

Rounds: Saturday 11am, 4pm & Sunday 9:30am, 2pm 🕚️

Byes: max two ½ point byes, any rounds, declared before R3
