🌾 Mankato Open, June 21-22. Put this new tournament on your chess schedule!

The Mankato Open is a new tournament with 130 participants anticipated. The playing site is only 1 hour and 20 minutes from Rochester. You can commute or stay overnight. Details are here: 🔗 details

ROCHESTER CHESS THIS WEEK, MAY 19.

  2. Casual Chess and Kids Chess on Tuesday, May 20, for those not playing in the Slow Swiss. Doors open at 6:00 PM.
  3. Casual chess at Novios Cafe on Thursday, May 22, 1:00 – 3:00 PM.

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE CHESS INSTRUCTION AT THE FARMERS MARKET ON MAY 17, 9 AM – NOON.

Rochester Chess will host a free pop up chess exhibit at the Farmers Market https://www.facebook.com/rochfarmmkt/ on the fairgrounds on Saturday, May 17, 9 AM – noon. Children and adults are invited to play chess and receive chess instruction.

Volunteers are needed to help others in our community improve their play. Please let me know if you can stop by to help out.
