ANALYSIS OF GAMES FROM THE CHICAGO OPEN ON TUESDAY, MAY 30.

Club member Michael Gilligan will be analyzing his games played over Memorial Day Weekend in the Chicago Open. The Chicago Open game analysis session will be continued next week on June 6 by Matt Jensen. All are welcome to play casual chess games.

FREE JUNE 2023 USCF-RATED SCHOLASTIC SWISS CHESS TOURNAMENT ON JUNE 10 (WARM-UP FOR THE ROCHESTER OPEN!)

Our next scholastic event will be 5 rounds of Game/30, d5s in a Swiss Style USCF-Rated tournament on June 10. The majority of respondents could make this date. I apologize to those who cannot. All participants will play 5 games. Membership in USCF is required. https://new.uschess.org/. A limited number of vouchers for free memberships are available. Contact Dennis Mays (dennismays101@gmail.com) for more information. Participants will be required to record their moves and use a chess clock. Chess sets and clocks will be provided

Trophies/medals will be awarded to the top finishers.

Site: Mayo Clinic Harwick Cafeteria, 201 Third Ave. SW, Rochester, MN. Online pre-registration is required to reserve your spot in the tournament. Registration Link Participation will be limited, so register early.

Check in with the tournament director by 8:45 AM to confirm your participation and be paired in the first round.

Round 2: 10:10 AM
Lunch Break: 11:20 AM
Round 3: 12:00 PM
Round 4: 1:10 PM
Round 5: 2:20 PM
Awards Following Round 5 at about 3:30 PM

FREE GAME ANALYSIS AND CASUAL CHESS ON TUESDAY, MAY 9.

The highest rated active players in the club (Master Matt Jensen, Justin Ricker, and Daniel Garrett) will be providing free game analysis during the club meeting on Tuesday, May 9 for all comers.
