2023 WINTER SCHOLASTIC CHESS TOURNAMENT COMPLETE RESULTS
Cross tables containing the complete results of the 2023 Winter Scholastic Chess Tournament are below. The event was held on January 14 in the Northrop Community Education Center. KTTC published this about the event: https://www.kttc.com/2023/01/14/rochester-winter-scholastic-chess-tournament/ Community Education (a big shout out to Joshua Halverson) and Rochester Chess co-sponsored the event. Numerous coaches and students volunteered to help make the tournament a success. The tournament was divided into 4 sections (total of 66 K8 students participated). Tiebreakers were used to award trophies and medals. Players are not listed in tiebreak order. If players ended with the same score, they tied for that place.
The numbers in parentheses after the players’ names are their rank according to USCF rating prior to the tournament or their rank alphabetically if they did not have a rating. W=win, L=loss, D=draw, U=unplayed, and B=full point bye.
Congratulations to all of the players! You are all winners. Thanks to parents and friends for supporting your child’s interest in chess.
