SUMMER CLASSICAL CHESS RESULTS. REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR NEXT USCF-RATED COMPETITION BEGINNING ON AUGUST 1.
Twenty-four players competed in slow chess (G/60+30s increment) in 5 different sections from June 13 – 27 at the club. Congratulations to the winners: Justin Ricker in quad 1 (3-0), Tim Schimke in quad 2 (3-0), Bob, the elder, Frisby (2.5 – 0.5) in quad 3, Steve Lange, Grant Jones, and Isaac Walsh (all 2-1) in quad 4, and George Paulik and Chad Kruger (both 2.5-0.5) in the mini-swiss.
The plan is to hold a USCF-rated tournament consisting of double round robin sections beginning on August 1. Participants would play each other twice, one game with white and one game with black (6 games total). Advanced online registration is required.
