GAME ANALYSIS AND CASUAL CHESS ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 23.
National Master Matt Jensen will lead a game analysis session on Tuesday, January 23, starting at 7 PM. Share one of your favorite games (win, loss, or draw) with the group. Enter the game notation as a study on Lichess ahead of time to make the analysis session easier. Casual chess will be featured as well.
FINAL ROUND PAIRINGS FOR THE JANUARY CLASSICAL
The races are close for the final round games to be played on Tuesday, January 16. Games begin at 6:30 PM unless otherwise noted. A game analysis session with National Master Matt Jensen will be held on January 23 from 7 – 9 PM. Enter your favorite game on Lichess as a study to share with the group.
FREE 2024 SCHOLASTIC (K-12) USCF-RATED SWISS CHESS TOURNAMENT ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 27.
Chapter II of the scholastic chess tournaments is here: Five rounds of Game/30, d5s in a Swiss Style format will be played on Saturday, January 27. No elimination. All participants will play 5 games. Membership in USCF is required (https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess). Participants will be required to record their moves and use a chess clock. Chess sets and clocks will be provided. Half-point byes are available for schedule conflicts.
Online pre-registration is required to reserve your spot in the tournament. Participation will be limited to the first 40 registrants.

Trophies/medals will be awarded to the top finishers.
